Trachynswys is on the taller side of a typical roegadyn woman, standing at an impressive seven feet five inches tall. She's anywhere between twenty five to thirty years old, though she stopped keeping track of her birthdays in her mid-teens and no longer cares what her age actually is. So long as she can still hold a weapon, she's young enough.

Adept in several forms of combat, she more or less trained herself, wanting to be like her father, a famous adventurer in his own right. Her childhood was a fairly uneventful and peaceful one, the eldest sister in a large family consisting of three other girls, all of whom moved on to become respected members of their respective professions. Trachynswys was the only one to take up a more nomadic life, however, the rest of her siblings preferring to put down roots across Eorzea.

As a mercenary, she often does work for the Maelstrom, and has a Maelstrom officer's coat, but does not openly claim any title. Some claim she's an officer herself, but she'd argue that the coat was a gift and nothing more. She has engaged in piracy on and off throughout the years, depending on how much it's paying to be one at the time, however she hasn't been active in piracy since the Calamity. She's worked up some infamy among several crews as a brawler and a brutal opponent, her cutthroat competitiveness and vast knowledge of combat making her a dangerous and often unpredictable opponent.

Trachynswys enjoys battle for the sake of it and, as mentioned earlier, is highly competitive. Always looking for a bigger and better fight, she either doesn't acknowledge that it could kill her or doesn't actually care. The only goal is constant, personal one up-manship. She tends to use a variety of difference aliases, and presents as male or female depending on which one she uses. While not a Hellguard herself, she still adopts the naming conventions of them for one of her aliases. This is done to confuse those who she's crossed in the past, who may be a bit keen on hunting down either her, or the people she's grown close to.

Even if she doesn't like someone, respect is offered without question to known warriors. Proficiency in battle and honor on the field are all taken into consideration for this, though she has no respect for arrogance, cowardice and cruelty. Earned confidence is respectable.

Relentless and brutal on the field, she seems to be at her happiest before, during and directly after a battle. In general though, one will find that she is a boisterous, high energy, loud and cheerful woman. Trachynswys, like any sellsword, enjoys good food, good drink and good company. Pansexual, she has a preference for warriors, soldiers and military officers. She prefers experienced partners in bed, can become easily bored with virgins and unshakable prudes.

Naturally, she likes a good party, and predictably is a weapons nerd. She is not a particularly soft woman in any sense of the word, and isn't easily swayed by cute or pretty things. However, she really likes shiny things if they're obviously expensive, always looking for a way to make more cash. Despite what her mannerisms might suggest, Trachynswys isn't actually broke, and is doing quite well for herself. Rather, this behavior can be tied back to her competitive nature and powerful desire to be seen as impressive and intimidating. She can be very tightfisted, though loosens up a bit after a few drinks, or if she is presented with a fancy new piece of weaponry or armor. She does have a single soft spot for her chocobo Skarntrach though, and has trained it to fight as well as kitted it out with battle armor.

She finds black magic 'unlucky' and won't usually have much to do with thaumaturgists and black mages. While doesn't have much of a head for magic, she has picked up bits and pieces of it over the years. Trachynswys could potentially do more magic, and has the aether for it, but finds trying to learn it both frustrating and boring. She can read, but doesn't like anything too complicated or long, though she'll make exceptions depending on the genre of book. Her preferred books are historical nonfiction specifically, enjoying battle accounts and biographies of generals and soldiers.

Her aliases usually consist of a reinterpretation of her name, Dragon Sister, Daughter of Swift Fist.
